| Musicians Wanted | Nova Musica is always on the look out for new members. Auditions are not required for membership, but intermediate playing level is essential. Many of our members joined after not playing their instruments for many years, so do not be shy if you haven't picked yours up in a while. |
Rehearsals |
The Nova Musica Orchestra rehearses weekly on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 10:00 at L'École Joseph-Moreau, 9750-74 Ave. Our season runs from September through June, with a break between Christmas and New Year's. New members are welcome at any time. Players are needed in the following sections: Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba and Percussion. Players in the violin section are welcome, as well. Please contact Donna for more information regarding membership. |
| Membership Fees | New
members may attend up to 3 rehearsals before fees will be collected, to
allow them time to decide whether Nova is right for them. 2009/2010 season Membership fees for Nova are as follows: Adult Members: $200 Students: $100 Seniors (65+): $100 Fees are collected in order to offset the costs associated with running the orchestra such as acquiring new music, rental on our rehearsal hall, etc. |
